Fitnessmates serves as a digital gathering space connecting individuals seeking exercise partners while enabling fitness professionals to monetise their classes through a marketplace platform.
My Role
As the lead UI designer, I was responsible for transforming pre-validated UX strategy into development-ready designs for both web and mobile applications. I also designed interfaces serving two distinct user types: fitness enthusiasts seeking to join activities and fitness professionals creating profitable listings, ensuring both audiences had optimised experiences.
Class Booking & Payment System
Streamlined the complex process of selecting, confirming, and paying for fitness classes. My focus was on creating a transparent and frictionless user experience, converting interest into confirmed bookings with confidence.
Dynamic Listing Management
Users start a listing with basic details, then navigate freely, returning to any section as needed.
Flexible Entry/Exit Points: Creators can save progress and resume from any section, fitting their real-world schedules.
Dynamic Progress Tracking: Visual indicators show completion status without forcing a rigid sequence.
Contextual Guidance: The system suggests logical next steps while maintaining user control.
Payment & Scheduling System:
Users can easily set up bookings and payments to recur daily, weekly, or monthly.
Custom Scheduling: Supports unique patterns with options for custom day selection (e.g., specific days of the week or month).
Single-Event Support: Seamlessly integrates one-off bookings and payments for individual sessions or workshops.
Automated Payments: The system automates recurring charges, streamlining financial management for service providers.
Key UX Insight:
Fitness professionals need flexibility to complete information when it's available, not when the system demands it. This approach reduced abandonment while improving listing quality.
